An Amazing Comeback: Welcome Again!

Image
from here                     Yes, my dear readers, we are together again after a long time! 💖 I miss writing and you so much. Did you miss me too? 😢💞I hope everything is okay. Last year, we prepared many technology-integrated projects such as digital storytelling and infographics here for the Educational Technologies course. It was all very enjoyable, I can imagine that you enjoyed it just as much as I did. But don't worry, we will be together with projects that are at least as enjoyable but a little challenging as last year, under the leadership of the Material Design in English Language Teaching course. I hope everything will be fine. I will be in front of yo...

As a Defensive Technique: Digital storytelling!

Hello to all of you, my dear readers, from the last task of the term! As we slowly approach the end, today I will tell you about my adventures while doing digital storytelling, the last task of the semester. First of all, together with my dear friend Aygül, with whom we did this assignment, we decided to do the "how-to" option, which is one of the 3 options offered by our teacher. While we weren't quite sure how to show what is done, we thought of simple self-defense techniques that every woman should know. After doing some research, we shot our video, working on how to do our roles and techniques. Later, while Aygül was editing our video by "VN" video editing program , I undertook the voiceover work and this result came out.  I don't know if it was good or bad, but I believe that this short video gave us something useful, even if it was a little bit. While doing a task again, I learned a lot about both life and technology. We had a lot of fun shooting the ...

Infographic about How to Be A Good Teacher!

Yes, dear readers! I am here again this week with a very entertaining and somewhat challenging assignment. Today, I'm going to tell you about my infographic where I give you 5 important tips on how to be a better teacher. As you can see, our homework was to prepare an infographic about the topic we chose. While doing my homework, I used the Canva application, which has many features. As I said at the beginning of my sentence, I had a lot of fun preparing the infographic, but it gave me a lot of trouble, I had to organize everything, but I believe I did a good job. I hope you like it as much as I do. Finally, of course, I would like to have my students prepare infographics in the future, I think it develops creativity. See you in our next fun mission! The Little Movie Poster!

Image
Hi, there! You are all missed. Today, I'll tell you about the process of making a movie poster which is this week's task. To summarize the assignment, we are asked to create a movie poster based on the book we read imagining that it is filmed. We should have picked a book for it, and I chose The Little Prince as I think that it is a very meaningful book, and for some reason, it's special to me. It has been already animated, but I have created my own poster independent of its real one. Also, I made the poster thinking it is filmed, not animated. I created my poster by using pictures related to the main theme and characters of the book, quoting my favorite phrases in the book. I used the Canva app to make my poster, and it helped me a lot. It offers many options to its users such as stencils, background pictures, but it's a little bit complicated. If you want to make something professional, you have to learn its features in detail.  I have nothing to say about the poster...
