As a Defensive Technique: Digital storytelling!

 Hello to all of you, my dear readers, from the last task of the term! As we slowly approach the end, today I will tell you about my adventures while doing digital storytelling, the last task of the semester. First of all, together with my dear friend Aygül, with whom we did this assignment, we decided to do the "how-to" option, which is one of the 3 options offered by our teacher. While we weren't quite sure how to show what is done, we thought of simple self-defense techniques that every woman should know. After doing some research, we shot our video, working on how to do our roles and techniques. Later, while Aygül was editing our video by "VN" video editing program, I undertook the voiceover work and this result came out.

 I don't know if it was good or bad, but I believe that this short video gave us something useful, even if it was a little bit. While doing a task again, I learned a lot about both life and technology. We had a lot of fun shooting the videos with Aygül, even for a slightly annoying subject. Based on the videos we watched as examples in the lesson, I think that digital storytelling will be a fun and useful activity in language teaching and learning. As a future teacher, I would like to use this in my lessons.

 Hello again to all of you my dear blog and dear readers! I hope everything is fine since we met. We will fill my blog, which was filled with all the materials we made in our Educational Technologies course last year, with fun materials we designed in the English Instructional Technologies and Material Design course this year. We will learn a lot with it: A Corpus Based Material!

 Hello again, my dear readers! This week we are together again with a very different material. We have been working on Corpus-based material with our lecturer for 2 weeks. So now you're going to ask, "What is a Corpus?" Let me explain right away. Corpus is a large collection of texts that are systematically selected and stored as an electronic database. And this database is often used in linguistics to validate rules.  Integrating corpus into language education and lessons as teachers will provide many benefits for our students' language learning processes. Students who know how to use corpus will be able to learn the smallest detail about the words that confuse them, and they will be able to easily understand a grammar subject they have difficulty with thanks to the many examples presented in corpus programs.
