Group Work: Our Internet-based Project!

Welcome back all of you! This week, our task is to create kwl chart ( know- want- learn ) about any topic we choose as a group. We chose 'migration' as a topic by thinking that it's a universal subject which has a lot of things needed to learn. Firstly, we created a padlet wall which is required to share our opinion, information, and researches about the topic. And then, all of us respectively wrote there our previous information about immigration, what we wonder about it, and our interesting findings by seeking websites to satisfy our curiosity. To  tell my personal opinion, this task is fun for me, I learned so many things about emigration, it is a topic that is needed to investigate in detail. Also, using padlet is very beneficial from some aspects such as seeing our friends' opinions, sharing our ideas in a common tool at the same time. Last year, as we use padlet in writing lectures, I am used to using padlet, for this reason,it doesn't force me. Moreover, the kwl chart is the tool that I want to use in my future classes as a teacher since it can be very useful and enjoyable in terms of creativity and brainstorming.  Hello again to all of you my dear blog and dear readers! I hope everything is fine since we met. We will fill my blog, which was filled with all the materials we made in our Educational Technologies course last year, with fun materials we designed in the English Instructional Technologies and Material Design course this year. We started our lesson by looking at the history of technology in education and language learning. Our post and task today will be related to this. We will look at how technology has gained a place in language education from the past to the present by integrating the knowledge we have learned with what we have learned in the course. We will learn a lot with it: A Corpus Based Material!

 Hello again, my dear readers! This week we are together again with a very different material. We have been working on Corpus-based material with our lecturer for 2 weeks. So now you're going to ask, "What is a Corpus?" Let me explain right away. Corpus is a large collection of texts that are systematically selected and stored as an electronic database. And this database is often used in linguistics to validate rules.  Integrating corpus into language education and lessons as teachers will provide many benefits for our students' language learning processes. Students who know how to use corpus will be able to learn the smallest detail about the words that confuse them, and they will be able to easily understand a grammar subject they have difficulty with thanks to the many examples presented in corpus programs.
