We will learn a lot with it: A Corpus Based Material!

Hello again, my dear readers! This week we are together again with a very different material. We have been working on Corpus-based material with our lecturer for 2 weeks. So now you're going to ask, "What is a Corpus?" Let me explain right away. Corpus is a large collection of texts that are systematically selected and stored as an electronic database. And this database is often used in linguistics to validate rules.

Integrating corpus into language education and lessons as teachers will provide many benefits for our students' language learning processes. Students who know how to use corpus will be able to learn the smallest detail about the words that confuse them, and they will be able to easily understand a grammar subject they have difficulty with thanks to the many examples presented in corpus programs. Of course, as useful as using a corpus can be, it can be quite confusing at first. This is exactly what we are asked to do today: To prepare material for our students to help them understand the use of corpus!

While preparing our material, we worked with both my best friend and classmate Aygül. To be frank, we had some confusion with my pair while preparing the Corpus-based material. I hope we came up with something good as a result. We have included the 'Tradition vs Custom' difference in our material, which we are sure that most people do not know. In addition, we wanted to reinforce what our students learned with the worksheets we prepared using the Canva application. I hope we have succeeded in preparing material that is easy for everyone to understand. Here is our corpus-based material:
