WebQuest as a lifesaving tool!
Yes, my dear friends, after two or three weeks of separation, we came together again. 😍 I hope everything went well for you during our time apart. If you ask me, I got pretty tired as we approached the end of the term.😔 But do not worry, I will get rid of my tiredness with the topic of our project this week, which I will tell you about. I know you've been looking forward to it... 👀
Yes, this week's topic is WebQuests! Let's first get to know what WebQuest is, as we always do. WebQuest is a learning activity designed for students to research a topic, gather information, and present results using internet resources. As a learning strategy that enables students to be actively involved in the research and learning process, WebQuests also helps teachers increase student interest and engagement.
Now it's time for how we designed our WebQuest. First of all, we chose the 8th unit Emergency and Health Problems unit, which we want to focus on, from the preparatory book of the MEB, which we will use as a basis for this project, together with my friend Aygül, with who we work with as a pair. The reason we chose this unit was to choose a topic that students can learn about while doing their research. With this unit, we wanted to touch on first aid, which is a very important issue. Then we started to design our project by doing some research. While Aygül took care of the editorial work, I took care of the research-related work. Frankly, we were a little scared when we were doing this project, like other projects, because we hadn't done it before, but I think we handled it well. Moreover, WebQuest became one of the projects I wanted to use in my teaching life. I hope you will like it. I love you, see you!❤
